Incidents and frequency of acid rains have increased in the past couple of years due to various natural and man made causes. Acid rain has various types of negative impacts on the environment.

Wikipedia defines acid rain as a rain or any other form of precipitation that is unusually acidic, meaning that it has elevated levels of hydrogen ions (low pH).

Acid Rain is formed when acidic components such as Sulphuric and or Nitric Acid from air pollution mix with precipitation or rain causing its pH levels to drop below 5.3.
