Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism or CBAM has been enforced by the European Union in an attempt to address the global problem of climate change.

In order to implement CBAM regulations smoothly and effectively, the CBAM regulators designed the implementation in phases enabling impacted businesses and public authorities to adapt to the statutory requirements.

The CBAM definitive period shall come into effect from 1st January 2026 after the end of the transitional period on 31st December 2025.
