CBAM applies to importers bringing carbon-intensive goods into the EU. In its current scope, the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism covers imports of the following goods:
- Cement
- Iron and steel
- Aluminium
- Fertilisers
- Hydrogen
- Electricity
