Normal air conditioners when in use consume their rated power at a constant rate. This means, that they keep working at full capacity during their operational hours whether or not it is required.Inverter air conditioners use inverter technology that acts like the accelerator of the car bundled with a temperature sensing microprocessor also referred to as a thermostat. This bundled form of technology provides more power to the compressor of the air conditioner when it requires more power and vice versa. This means that during operational hours, it draws less power or more power depending on the requirements.
It is estimated that using inverter air conditioners can save approximately 20 -40% energy compared to normal air conditioners.
