What is meant by Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)?

Life Cycle Assessments or LCA are assessment methodologies that allow quantification of environmental and other impacts of products or processes throughout their various stages including but not limited to conceptulization, procurement, production, transportation, fuctional or operational use, etc.

The Life Cycle Assessments are also referred to as Cradle to Grave Analysis or Ecobalances.
