Digital Product Passport finder: which passport applies to a product?
Pick a product and a role to see whether an EU Digital Product Passport applies, from when, and who carries the duty. Each result says whether its date is fixed in law or only planned.

Find the passport for a product
How does the finder decide?
A product needs a passport only when an EU law names it. Batteries, vehicles, detergents, toys and construction products each have their own law. Most other products wait for Ecodesign rules written for their product group, and the passport comes some time after those rules take effect. The finder reads the same data as the Digital Product Passport timeline, so a date that changes there changes here too.
