How to apply for PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana?

The PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana was announced on 15th February 2024.

In order to apply for the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, the applicant must first qualify under the eligibility criteria of the scheme. Upon the qualification, the applicant must complete the application process

The application process for the Yojana is completely digital in nature and can be executed in the following steps:

• Step 1 – Visit the Official Website
• Step 2 – Provide basic details for registration such as
  • State
  • Name of Electricity Distribution Company
  • Consumer Account Number for the Electricity Connection
  • Mobile Number
  • Email Address
• Step 3 – Login using Customer Account Number and Mobile Number
• Step 4 – Apply and Select the respective Rooftop Solar as per the form
• Step 5 – Complete the Application Form
• Step 6 – Feasibility Approval from DISCOM.
  • Upon receiving feasibility approval, commence installation of the plant.
• Step 7 – Submit Plant Details and Apply for Net Meter
• Step 8 – Installation of Net Meter and Generation of Commissioning Certificate from Portal
• Step 9 – Submit Bank Details and Cancelled Cheque through Portal upon submission of commissioning certificate.
