Gurugram’s bulk waste generators register twice: on the MCG BWG portal at onemapdepts.gmda.gov.in/BWG, and on the portal run by the Central Pollution Control Board. Municipal Corporation Gurugram (MCG) set this out in its advisory of 26 May 2026. After registering, a site uploads daily, monthly, quarterly or yearly data there, whichever the corporation asks for.
Which Gurugram sites must register?
MCG’s advisory quotes the three tests of the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026. They are a building of 20,000 sq m or more, 40,000 litres of water a day, or 100 kg of waste a day. The MCG BWG portal’s own FAQ, read on 7 November 2026, still describes a campus of more than 5,000 sq m or 100 kg a day. That 5,000 sq m figure comes from the rules in force before 2026. Where the two differ, the advisory follows the 2026 rules, and a Gurugram site tests itself against those three figures.
What records and penalties does the advisory mention?
MCG asks each site to keep agreements, bills, transporter details and compost lab reports ready, since MCG or the Pollution Control Board may verify them during a visit. The advisory also repeats an order of the National Green Tribunal of 26 July 2024. That order banned littering or dumping solid waste at roadsides, rivers, wetlands, nalas and other unauthorised places anywhere in Haryana. A bulk waste generator that dumps waste this way is liable to pay environmental compensation of ₹25,000 for a first instance and ₹50,000 for a second.
First steps on the MCG BWG portal
A Gurugram facility manager checks the three tests and, if one is met, registers on both portals. The corporation will ask for that data through its own portal. A daily weighing log of wet, dry, sanitary and special care waste turns each upload into a copy job. The CPCB portal carries the national fee and the annual return, set out in Bulk Waste Generators in 2026. The CPCB side, from eligibility to the annual return, is mapped step by step under bulk waste generator compliance. Transporter and processing agreements belong in the same file as the bills, ready for a visit.
