Different types of plastics are being used daily for several applications. Using recycling codes mentioned on these plastics, help identifying of these plastics easy for recycling purposes.
Several plastic recycling processes depend on heating or melting the said plastic. On heating, some types of plastics loose their characteristic properties, reducing its tensile strength, affecting its elasticity etc. Because of this, some types of plastics can be recycled only a limited number of types.
It is said by some people, that PET Plastics can be recycled only once.
