PM Surya Ghar Yojana is also known as PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
This scheme has been designed to provide the households with a subsidy of upto 40% to install solar panels.
The key benefits of the PM Surya Ghar Yojana are:

- Reduced Carbon Emissions
PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana is expected to benefit 1 crore households across India and also save approximately Rs. 75,000 crore per year for the Indian Government in electricity costs.
