What happens if E-waste rules are not complied with?

According to the guidelines stated by Central Pollution Control Board, environmental compensation will be collected or imposed on the producer in cases of failure to comply with obligations outlined in the rules.

Unregistered producers, manufacturers, refurbishers, recyclers, and any other company that assists or abets the violation of these regulations will also be subject to environmental compensation.
