What is O3CI Portal?

O3CI refers to the Operators of Third Country Installations.

The O3CI Portal was launched as a part of EU’s compliance known as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).

It is designed for operators located outside the EU who are producers of goods that are governed by the CBAM compliance. The portal allows for eligible and authorized declarants from third countries to upload specific emissions data to share with the EU Importers.

This portal is supposed to simplify the data sharing process for the producers (operators) and importers.

It was launched on the 1st January 2025.
